OUR VISION

Our Support for Israel

...is first and foremost for the eternal purpose of God for His people and His land through many unconditional promises.  Our support begins by standing with the believers in the Land.  Many Israelis have come to believe in Jesus as the Messiah.  We choose to stand foursquare beside them in these difficult days.  We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, knowing that the only true peace in is Yeshua HaMeshiach.  We pray for the government, knowing that many of its leaders do not know God, but we believe that God is the one who removes and sets up kings.  Jesus died for all men, and we therefore pray for the salvation of all the neighbors of Israel as well, while still recognizing God's unique prophetic relationship with Israel.

Genesis 32:24-30

24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.  25  Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.  26  And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks."  But he said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me!"  27  So He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob."  28  And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed."  29  Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your name, I pray."  And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there.  30  So Jacob called the name of the place *Peniel:  "For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved."

Ephesians 2:11-22

11  Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands-- 12  that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.  13  But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.  14  For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15  having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16  and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17  And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.  18  For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.  19  Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,  20 having been built on the foundations of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21  in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22  in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Restoring the Name of Yehovah

Don’t you hate to forget somebody’s name? You cannot say, “Hey, nice to see you, what’s your name.” It would make you feel stupid. Given how much a person’s name means to him, you just don’t say that. How will Yehovah feel if you say when He appears, “Hey, nice to see you, what’s your name”, or worse yet you call Him by another name! You don’t even have to explain, He knows you do not know. Names are important and Yehovah desires His name to be known even by the heathen. Sadly, there are few who acknowledge His name and fewer still who use it. So what happened to cause men to forget the Name of God? Elvis Presley has more name recognition than Yehovah. There are twenty-three centuries of tradition which have obscured, wiped-out and generally demonized the use of the Name of God. Few write His name and fewer still speak His name. These conditions exist whether in the synagogue or the church. Many proclaim through song and prose: we will magnify, praise and exalt the Name of God. But, truth be known, they do not even know the Name of God. Few who know His Name mention His Name. Those who mention His Name do so in a whisper. Many in Christendom think the Name of God is Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God and yes, God the Son – But, Jesus is not the Name of God. The Name Jesus is a transliteration from the Latin which was translated from the Greek which was translated from the Hebrew. In the Hebrew His Name is Yeshua which literally means Salvation. (Matthew 1:21) Jesus is the name under heaven by which you must be saved. However, Revelation 3:12 clearly indicates that Jesus’ will change His name. Thus the name of Jesus is not eternal but, God’s name is. We at Shalom Peniel have taken on what may appear as an ambitious project of restoring the use of His name, Yehovah. It is to soon become of critical importance to His people.

Restoring the Feasts of Yehovah

 Yeova

Shalom Peniel’s desire is to restore these Feasts and the revelation that they contain. Early in the history of the Church the Feasts of Yehovah were discounted as Jewish feasts. Today many are ignorant of the Feasts of Yehovah because of the action of the fathers in the Church. Among all the Celebrations within the church few are connected to these Feasts. But, the Feast of Yehovah are prophetic revelations of future events.  They are quite literally Yehovah's appointed times.  They were outlawed by the church in a declaration of  the Council of Nicaea 325 AD.  Thus the Church lost all connection to how and why these feasts were celebrated and few had any idea that they contained prophetic value.  Shalom Peniel desires to  see these Feasts reestablished and celebrated within the Church for several reasons: (1) The celebrations of these Feasts are commandments of Yehovah (Leviticus 23);  (2) They contain prophetic revelation that can only be extracted by learning and celebrating the Feasts; and (3) The Feasts of Yehovah will be established after the return of the Messiah, Yeshua. You may know Him as Jesus. If Jesus has commanded us to keep the Passover ‘till He returns, what should we do but keep the Passover. (Luke 22:19). Shalom Peniel has assumed this endeavor.

The Restoration of the Mikvah

Shalom Peniel is about restoring the knowledge of the purpose of the baptism.  The Mikvah is a Jewish "baptism".  But few Christians know that a mikvah is a baptism and fewer Jews would call what they consider their mikvah a baptism.  So a wall has been built to a point that most Christians believe that John the Baptist invented baptism and most Jews believe that the mikvah is only for family purification.  The truth is the knowledge of the baptism, practice and the purpose of the baptism has been hidden for two thousand years.  Never in the history of the church did any group try to research the purpose let alone the process of doing a mikvah as it was to be practiced in the Body of Christ.  Shalom Peniel has insight into this and will mikvah anyone who desires and who comes to the understanding as to the purpose of the mikvah, which is entering into the betroval with our Bridegroom, Yeshua.  It is this purpose to which Jesus was Mikvahed.
